NOVUM IMPERIUM ROMANUM — N.I.R
Novum Imperium Romanum, as the name suggests, is a Roman-themed community built around history, roleplay, discussion and a shared interest in the ancient world.
At the heart of N.I.R is our unique and active historical RP, featuring an ever-developing alternative history shaped by the decisions of our players. Members take control of historical figures, kingdoms, republics and empires, interacting with real historical characters while diplomacy, warfare, politics and unexpected events create a constantly evolving story. Our aim is to combine historical authenticity with player freedom, allowing history to take an entirely different course.
N.I.R is much more than just RP. We welcome anyone interested in history from any period, although our community has a particular focus on the ancient and late-antique world from approximately 400 BC to 600 AD. Discussions can range from Rome, Greece and Persia to lesser-known peoples such as the Garamantes, Durotriges and countless other cultures that shaped the ancient world.
The server also features a Roman-inspired Mock Government, allowing members to participate directly in the community. Stand for election as a Roman magistrate, become a Senator, debate and vote on legislation, represent the community and advance through the Cursus Honorum.
